All units have a base measurement of 165 x 100 mm and have 4 mm socket terminals where appropriate.

The steel shaft carries a clock spring with a free wheel device, winding ratchet and 56 mm diameter aluminium 'V' pulley.

This could also be used to wind a weight on a cord showing the change from potential energy to kinetic, and back, in the raised weight.
