When a Bent Outlet Helps
With the cone seated upright in a flask neck, the bent outlet lets the tubing run off to the side instead of rising straight up, keeping it out of the way of clamps and nearby glassware. The stopcock still opens or closes the line at the joint, and the cone fits only a socket of its own size.
