What Is the Aids Chart Used For?
AIDS, the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, is the advanced stage of untreated infection with HIV, the human immunodeficiency virus, which gradually weakens the body’s immune defences. HIV is passed on through unprotected sex, transfusion of infected blood, shared needles or syringes, and from a mother to her baby during pregnancy, birth or breastfeeding. It is not spread by hugging, shaking hands, sharing food, plates or toilets, or by mosquito bites — facts that help students treat people living with HIV without fear or prejudice. Only a test shows whether someone has HIV, and although there is no cure, antiretroviral medicines prescribed by doctors keep the virus under control.
The chart supports adolescence and health education lessons in secondary schools, Red Ribbon Club and World AIDS Day activities in colleges each December, and training sessions for nurses and community health workers. It is a teaching aid, not a substitute for testing, counselling or medical advice. The chart’s wording and illustrations are not reproduced in the listing; ask JLab for an image of the artwork if you need to review it, for example to check suitability for a particular age group.

Who manufactures this chart?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) produces it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of health education charts, teaching aids and lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Since the chart is made in JLab’s own works and not resold from a trader, schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it from the producer, every chart is inspected by eye before dispatch, and repeat orders go back to the same manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and supplies buyers in every region — Ireland in Western Europe, Greece in Southern Europe, Tonga in Oceania, Turkmenistan in Central Asia and Mongolia in East Asia, to name a few. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
