Binostat Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Binostat

Product Code : EL-GLE-8500
Jlab Export is a leading Binostat Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Binostat (code EL-GLE-8500) is a probability instrument that visually illustrates the binomial distribution in school and college mathematics and statistics lessons. Balls fed in at the top bounce at random on the pegs on their way down to the tray, where they build up a histogram. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is a Binostat Used For?

Each time a ball meets a peg it is sent left or right by chance, so the slot it finally lands in depends on how many times it went each way — a binomial outcome. One ball tells you nothing, but a stream of balls piles up most in the middle slots and least at the edges, and the shape in the tray matches the binomial distribution; with many rows of pegs it comes close to the bell-shaped normal curve. The same idea is often called a Galton board or quincunx. Teachers use it to introduce chance, probability distributions and the link between the binomial and normal distributions in senior secondary mathematics and in introductory statistics courses at college.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the number of binostats, for example one per classroom for demonstration or one per group for practical work.
  • Other probability resources — probability kits, dice and spinners are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.
  • Delivery — the destination city or port and any packing needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a binostat show?
The binomial distribution. The histogram the balls form in the tray shows how often each number of left and right bounces occurs.

How does it work?
Balls are fed in at the top and bounce randomly on the pegs towards the tray, where they collect into a histogram.

Is a binostat the same as a Galton board?
It works on the same principle: balls falling through rows of pegs build up a binomial pattern. Galton board, quincunx and binostat are names used for this kind of probability demonstrator.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
The quantity, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF) and any tender reference.

Who manufactures the binostat?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of maths lab equipment, science teaching aids and general laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The binostat is built at JLab’s own works rather than sourced from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy direct from the manufacturer and repeat orders come from the same workshop. The company holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 as a manufacturing enterprise and Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. JLab exports worldwide and can ship to every region — for example Albania in Southern Europe, Taiwan in East Asia, Kazakhstan in Central Asia, Canada in North America and Malawi in East Africa. Tender buyers can see the JLab lab tenders page.

Probability Teaching Resources

  • Probability Kit — a classroom kit for investigating random and selective sampling and binomial expansion and distribution.
  • Deluxe Probability Kit — hands-on manipulatives such as dice, number cubes, spinners and playing cards.
  • Genes and Probability — game-like exercises that apply probability to patterns of inheritance.

More items are in the General Lab Equipment range and the wider Laboratory Supplies section.
