Dispensing Straight from the Bottle
Because the dispenser sits on the bottle itself, liquid goes from the stock to the receiving vessel in one step and never has to be poured into a beaker first. The stock stays covered by the dispenser instead of standing open while it is poured, and a run of repeated additions, such as the same reagent into a row of test tubes, takes a stroke each.
Setting Up and Working the Piston
After mounting, work the piston a few times until no air bubbles show in the liquid, returning those first portions to the bottle or to waste. The floating piston keeps the effort per stroke low, which matters when a long series of portions is dispensed. The outlet has a safety discharge system. Rinse the dispenser through with water after use with aqueous reagents.
