How Does a Delay Timer Module Work?
A timer relay module pairs a small timing circuit with a relay. The timing circuit counts out the chosen interval and then operates the relay, whose contacts close or open a separate load circuit. In an on-delay timer the waiting happens before the relay acts, which is what you need when a device should come on only after a pause rather than at the same instant as the rest of the circuit.
