Choosing the Plate Layout
The standard plate mixes two large and four small holes, which suits a practical that uses a couple of wide tubes alongside ordinary test tubes. A second version has every hole in the top plate sized for 25 mm tubes, for classes that work mainly with the wider tubes. Mention which layout you need when you enquire.
Drying and Sterilising
After washing, tubes are hung mouth-down on the six vertical pins to drain, which keeps them off the bench and away from dust. Because the plastic can be autoclaved, the rack can go through sterilisation together with its tubes in microbiology work.
