Picking an Expansion Pair
Read each pair as cone first, socket second. A B14/B24 adapter lets a piece with a B24 cone sit on a B14 socket, while B29/B40 opens a B29 socket to a B40 cone. For the opposite step, from a large socket down to a small cone, use a reduction adapter.
