How Does It Compare with Other JLab Foot Models?
| Model | Size | Structures and build |
|---|---|---|
| This model (EL-HM-13364, JL239) | Life size | Tibia, fibula and foot bones; talofibular, calcaneofibular and deltoid ligaments; Achilles tendon; plantar fascia; PVC bones on a detachable plastic cradle |

Choose the JL239 model when the individual ankle ligaments, the Achilles tendon and the plantar fascia should be named on one colour-differentiated foot whose bones lift off the base. The Human Foot Model features the plantar calcaneonavicular ligament with plantar fasciitis, the Human Foot Joint Model demonstrates the functions of the foot with flexible artificial ligaments, and the Foot Joint With Ligaments Life Size is another life-size PVC foot joint.
What Is the Foot and Ankle Joint Model Used For?
Ligaments do most of the work of holding the ankle together. On the outer side, the anterior talofibular, calcaneofibular and posterior talofibular ligaments run from the fibula to the talus and calcaneus; on the inner side, the fan-shaped deltoid ligament spreads down from the tibia. The Achilles tendon joins the calf muscles to the heel bone, and the plantar fascia runs under the sole from the heel towards the toes and supports the arch. The outer ligaments are the ones most often stretched when the ankle rolls inwards, so the model is a clear way to show where a sprain happens.
Medical, nursing and physiotherapy colleges and sports-science courses use it for the bones and ligaments of the lower limb, and school biology labs can use it for the tarsals, metatarsals and phalanges in the class 11 chapter on locomotion and movement. The key card helps students name each structure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which ligaments does the model show?
The anterior talofibular, calcaneofibular, posterior talofibular and deltoid ligaments, together with the Achilles tendon and the plantar fascia.
Can the bones be taken off the base?
Yes. The bones are removable from the base, which is a detachable plastic cradle.
How is the model coloured?
The ligaments are in natural tones and the bones in realistic colour, so the soft tissue stands out from the bone.
How large and heavy is it?
It is life size, about 25 ± 5 × 12 ± 3 × 11 ± 2 cm, and weighs 2.0 ± 1.0 kg.
How does it differ from the Human Foot Model?
Both show the tibia, fibula, foot bones, the deltoid ligament and the Achilles (calcaneal) tendon. This model names the talofibular and calcaneofibular ligaments and the plantar fascia and sits on a removable plastic cradle; the Human Foot Model features the plantar calcaneonavicular ligament with plantar fasciitis.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of models, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any packing, labelling or tender reference.
Who manufactures this foot joint model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it under the JLab brand at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of anatomy models and biology lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The JL239 foot model comes from JLab’s own works rather than from a trader, so medical colleges, schools, dealers and importers buy from the maker, and each model is inspected by eye before it is packed. The company is registered under GSTIN 06AADCJ9848D1ZE and holds Legal Entity Identifier 549300DTGS77DGYD6N03. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Oman in the Middle East, Congo in Central Africa, Ghana in West Africa, South Africa in Southern Africa and Singapore in Southeast Asia. Tender buyers can find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
