How Does It Compare with Other JLab Micropipettes?
| Listing | Volume | Other listed details |
|---|---|---|
| This micropipette (EL-ELA-5371) | Adjustable by dial; range to order | Plunger button, tip ejector, digital volume indicator |
| Micropipettes Single Channel | Variable: 0.2–2, 0.5–10, 5–50, 10–100 and 100–1000 µl models | Single channel; listed as easy to calibrate and maintain |
| Variable Volume Micropipette | Variable (range not listed) | Autoclavable at 121 °C without dismantling; individually calibrated, serial-numbered, with a calibration report |
| Micropipettes Multi Channel | Not listed | Several channels; soft elastomer finger grip; manifold turns for right- or left-hand use |
Choose this micropipette for general single-sample work where a dial and digital readout are enough; pick a listed volume range from the single-channel series, the variable-volume model when you need autoclaving and a calibration report, or the multi-channel pipette for filling plate rows.
What Is the Micropipette Used For?
Micropipettes deliver microlitre volumes that a graduated pipette cannot measure reliably — preparing dilutions and standards, setting up enzyme and DNA reactions, loading electrophoresis gels and inoculating cultures in college and university biotechnology, microbiology and biochemistry practicals. Set the volume with the dial and check it on the indicator, press a fresh tip onto the attachment point, and press the plunger to the first stop before drawing liquid; release it slowly with the tip just below the surface, then press through to the second stop to empty the tip. The ejector removes the used tip without touching it.
Keep the pipette upright on a stand, never lay it down with liquid in the tip, and do not turn the dial beyond its range. Have its calibration checked at regular intervals if your lab works to set accuracy limits.

Who manufactures this micropipette?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of laboratory instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and operating from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The micropipette is produced at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so colleges, universities, dealers and importers buy straight from the maker, and repeat orders and tips come from the same source. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Denmark in Northern Europe, Ivory Coast in West Africa, Uganda in East Africa, Indonesia in Southeast Asia and Japan in East Asia. For tenders, see the JLab lab tenders page.
