What Is the Prostate Inspection Model Used For?
The prostate lies just below the bladder and in front of the rectum, so its back surface can be felt with a gloved finger through the rectal wall. What matters in the examination is the size, consistency and surface of the gland, and those are learned by touch, through repetition.
