Setting Up an Anchor Stirrer
The shaft runs through a stirrer gland or guide in the vessel neck and is clamped in the chuck of an overhead motor. Pick a length that lets the blade sit just clear of the base while the motor stays well above the neck, and start at low speed before turning it up.
