What Is the Telugu Alphabet Chart Used For?

Children starting Telugu learn the achchulu (vowels) first and then the hallulu (consonants), before moving on to the guninthalu, where each consonant takes a vowel sign. A large wall chart keeps the whole aksharamala in view during that first stage: the teacher reads each letter aloud, the class repeats it, and children return to the chart to check a shape while writing. The chart fits Telugu-medium nursery and lower primary classes in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Telugu as a second language in English-medium schools, and Telugu classes for children of Telugu-speaking families abroad.

Since both faces are laminated, the chart can be wiped down when it gets dusty or marked. Roll it loosely rather than folding it when it is stored between terms.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — minimum 10 charts, for example one per Telugu classroom.
  • Follow-on chart — the Telugu barakhadi (guninthalu) chart for the next stage.
  • Hanging — the listing does not mention rollers or eyelets, so state any hanging requirement.
  • Delivery — destination and any labelling or tender reference.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Telugu alphabet chart cover?
The Telugu aksharamala — the vowels and consonants that children learn first. The listing does not itemise the artwork, so check the product photo or ask JLab for a current picture.

What size and finish is it?
The chart is 70 x 100 cm and laminated on both sides with thick plastic film.

How is it different from the Telugu Barakhadi Chart?
This chart teaches the basic letters. The barakhadi chart shows the guninthalu, consonants combined with each vowel sign, which children learn once they know the letters.

What is the minimum order and lead time?
10 units, each sold individually, usually dispatched within 7–10 working days after a visual check. Export transit time depends on the destination and shipping method.

What should I include in an export enquiry?
Quantity, destination country and port or city, delivery terms (FOB, CIF or similar), packing or labelling instructions, and the tender reference if any.
