What Is a Gooch Crucible Holder Used For?
A Gooch crucible has a perforated base that carries a filter disc. To filter through it, the tapered rubber body of the holder is pushed into the neck of a filter flask like a stopper, the crucible is set into the holder, and suction is applied through the flask’s side arm.
