What Is a Gooch Crucible Used For?
A Gooch crucible combines a filter and a weighing vessel. A filter disc is laid on the perforated base, the crucible is seated on a filter flask with a rubber crucible holder, and suction draws the liquid through while the precipitate stays behind. The crucible is then dried or heated and weighed with the precipitate in it, so the solid never has to be transferred — the method used in classic gravimetric determinations and in measuring suspended solids in water samples.

- Gooch crucible grade — this model (to 800 °C) or the superior-quality version (to 1150 °C).

Who manufactures this crucible?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab, or Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, is an analytical and teaching lab equipment manufacturer in India incorporated in 2017, with its base on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. It holds MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849 (manufacturing enterprise) and Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552. The Gooch crucible comes from JLab’s own works, not a trading house, so colleges, testing laboratories, dealers and importers buy it from the maker and can reorder the same pattern. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Togo in West Africa, Afghanistan in South Asia, Japan in East Asia, Saudi Arabia in the Middle East and Armenia in Eastern Europe. Tender supply is covered on the JLab lab tenders page.
