What Is the Lab Spatula Used For?
The two ends do different jobs. The spoon end scoops loose material — a pinch of yeast or sugar for a fermentation set-up, soil for a water-holding test, or a stain powder being weighed out. The flat end lifts and moves things that should not be scooped, such as a small piece of tissue, a crystal or a seed, and it can push the last grains off the spoon end or level a heap on the balance pan. Work over a watch glass or a sheet of paper so nothing is lost, and add powder to the balance a little at a time.
Wipe or rinse the spatula and dry it before it goes into a second substance, so one sample or reagent does not contaminate the next. Keep a separate spatula for food tests and for chemicals where possible.

Who manufactures this spatula?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it directly as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The spatula is part of JLab’s own production, not a trader’s stock, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order it factory-direct. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example the USA in North America, Argentina in South America, the Netherlands in Western Europe, Portugal in Southern Europe and Mongolia in East Asia.
