When 25 ml Is Enough
A 25 ml burette uses less titrant per run than a larger one, which saves reagent when each student group repeats a titration several times. Choose the concentration of the solution so that the end point falls well inside the scale.
Rinsing Before Use
Rinse the burette with distilled water and then with a little of the titrant, letting each rinse run out through the stopcock. This keeps the solution in the tube at its true concentration for the first reading.
