Holding the Burette Steady
Press the burette into the clamp against the jack; the spring keeps constant pressure on the tube, so it stays vertical while it is filled and while the stopcock is worked during a titration. Acid that runs down the outside does the clamp no harm, since the polypropylene body is corrosion proof.
