Building Up the Stand
Fit an upright rod to the base, slide a boss head onto it at the working height and fix a clamp or ring in the boss head. Turn the base so its longer side runs under the load: a full burette or a flask of liquid then sits over the steel plate and cannot tip the stand forward. Two boss heads on one rod let a funnel and a receiver be held at different heights.
The powder coating protects the steel sheet from drips; wipe off acid or salt solution spills when the practical ends.
