Ice Molecular Model Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-MS-7253
Jlab Export is a leading Ice Molecular Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Ice Molecular Model (code EL-MS-7253) is a chemistry teaching model of solid water, used to show how water molecules lock into an open, hydrogen-bonded lattice when water freezes. Its joining pieces hold the structure firmly, so it can go from student to student during a lesson. JLab builds this model in Ambala, India, for school and college chemistry departments.

What the Ice Lattice Shows
In ice, each water molecule is hydrogen bonded to four neighbours that sit at the corners of a tetrahedron around it. The molecules link into puckered six-membered rings and leave open space inside the lattice. That open arrangement is why ice is less dense than liquid water and floats on it, a point students grasp faster from a model than from a diagram.
Lessons It Supports
Teachers bring it out for hydrogen bonding, the unusual density of water and the difference between a molecular solid and an ionic or giant covalent one. Next to a diamond model it shows how a tetrahedral pattern can come from hydrogen bonds as well as from covalent bonds.
Related Structure Models
- Diamond Molecular Model — the same tetrahedral pattern, held by covalent bonds between carbon atoms
- Sodium Chloride Molecular Model Kit — an ionic lattice to contrast with the molecular lattice of ice
- Graphite Molecular Model — layered carbon sheets, also built from six-membered rings
More structure models are grouped under Model Sets, part of the Chemistry Lab Equipment section.
