Writing a Clear Label
Write the label before sticking it on: the name of the substance or sample, its concentration where it has one, the date and the initials of the person who prepared it. Press it on to a clean, dry surface and smooth it from the centre outwards so the edges do not lift. On a reagent bottle, put it on the side away from the lip so drips do not run over the writing.
