Liquid Level Apparatus Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-SLE-4625
Jlab Export is a leading Liquid Level Apparatus Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Liquid Level Apparatus (code EL-SLE-4625) is a set of four glass tubes of different shapes and cross-sectional areas rising vertically from a common horizontal tube, mounted on a wooden base. It is used in school physics to show that a liquid in communicating vessels settles at the same level whatever the size or shape of each vessel. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Liquid Level Apparatus Used For?
Pour coloured water into any one tube and it flows through the horizontal tube into the others until every surface stands at the same height — in the narrow tube, the wide one and the oddly shaped ones alike. The reason is that the pressure at a point in a liquid at rest depends on its depth, not on the shape or width of the container, and every open surface carries the same air pressure, so the liquid can only be at rest when all the levels match. The apparatus therefore suits middle- and secondary-school lessons on pressure in liquids, and leads into everyday examples such as water reaching taps from an overhead tank or a mason’s water level marking two points at the same height. Very narrow bores are the one exception students may notice, because capillary action can raise or lower the surface slightly. After the demonstration, empty and rinse the tubes and keep the glass away from knocks.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the liquid level apparatus demonstrate?
That a liquid in communicating vessels settles at one common level regardless of the size or shape of the vessels. The four differently shaped tubes make the point visible in a single demonstration.
How is the apparatus built?
Four glass tubes of different shapes and cross-sectional areas rise vertically from one horizontal tube, so the liquid can move freely between them, and the assembly is mounted on a wooden base.
Why do the levels stay equal in such different tubes?
Pressure in a still liquid depends only on depth. If one surface stood higher, the pressure at the bottom of that tube would be greater, and liquid would flow until all the levels were the same.
How does it differ from the Communicating Vessels listing?
Both demonstrate the same principle with four vessels of different shapes. This apparatus is listed with its tubes rising from a common horizontal tube on a wooden base; the Communicating Vessels listing gives its own vessel sizes, so compare the two pages if dimensions matter for your lab.
Who manufactures the liquid level apparatus?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and quotes for it as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of physics demonstration apparatus and other science lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This apparatus comes from JLab’s own works, not from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it factory-direct; each unit is examined visually before packing, and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Kenya in East Africa, Moldova in Eastern Europe, Botswana in Southern Africa, Austria in Western Europe and Canada in North America.
Fluid Pressure Demonstrations
- Communicating Vessels — four vessels of different shape and volume for the same principle.
- Capillary Tube Apparatus — capillaries of varying bore, showing the capillary effect that appears in very narrow tubes.
- Hydraulic Press — two connected syringes showing how pressure is transmitted through a liquid.
- Pascals Law — a physics wall chart on how pressure applied to an enclosed fluid is passed on.
