What Is Phases of Fraction Used For?
The set works with two different wholes, a rectangle and a square, each divided into different fractions, so pupils learn early that a fraction always belongs to a particular whole. Rebuilding a whole from its fractions, and comparing one part with another, makes the meaning of a fraction concrete before it is written down.
