What Is the Safety Ruler Used For?
When a learner cuts card, cardboard or plastic sheet with a craft or utility knife, the knife runs along a straight edge and the hand pressing that edge down is the one most at risk. On this ruler the curved profile holds the fingers back from the line the blade travels, so a slip is less likely to reach them. A stainless steel edge also resists nicks from the blade better than a wooden or plastic ruler, so it keeps giving a straight guide for the knife.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of rulers — often one per learner or per cutting station.
- Knives, toolkits or drawing tools — separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.

OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of classroom tools, technology-kit parts and school laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The safety rulers are made at JLab’s own works and not bought in from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy from the maker, and further orders are handled by the same manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — Morocco in North Africa, Albania in Southern Europe, Peru in South America, Sierra Leone in West Africa and Estonia in Northern Europe, to name a few.
