Product Code : EL-MLE-1871
Jlab Export is a leading Theodolite Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Theodolite Model (code EL-MLE-1871) is a teaching model of a theodolite — the instrument for measuring both horizontal and vertical angles — for trigonometry and surveying lessons in the maths lab. It has a movable telescope mounted on horizontal and vertical axes, and both axes are equipped with graduated circles. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Theodolite Model Used For?
A theodolite is the surveyor’s main angle-measuring instrument: the telescope is sighted on a point, the horizontal circle gives its direction and the vertical circle gives its angle of elevation or depression. The model makes these two motions easy to see, so students understand how surveyors use triangulation — measuring angles from the two ends of a known baseline to fix the position of a distant point — how a survey line is prolonged, and how the height of a distant or near object follows from its angle of elevation and its distance.
In schools the Theodolite Model supports the heights-and-distances topic of class 10 trigonometry and maths lab activities on angles of elevation and depression; in ITI and diploma courses it introduces surveying before students handle a full instrument.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the number of models, for example one for each maths lab or group.
- Other angle-measuring items — the sextant, clinometer compass and vernier theodolite linked below are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.
- Delivery details — the destination city and country, and any packing or labelling needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a theodolite measure?
Both horizontal and vertical angles.
How is the model built?
A movable telescope is mounted on horizontal and vertical axes, and both axes are equipped with graduated circles.
Which surveying work does it help explain?
Triangulation, prolonging lines, and computing the elevation and depression of distant and near objects.
How is it different from the Sextant?
The sextant measures the angle of an object against the horizon using reflective mirrors and an arc. The theodolite model measures both horizontal and vertical angles with a telescope and two graduated circles.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
Send the quantity, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements, and the tender reference if the order is for a tender.
Who manufactures the Theodolite Model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab), at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
Trading as JLab, Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd is an Indian manufacturer of maths lab equipment and teaching models, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The Theodolite Model is built at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it from the maker; every model is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Panama in Central America and the Caribbean, Ecuador in South America, Taiwan in East Asia, Poland in Eastern Europe and Kuwait in the Middle East.
Related Angle-Measuring Instruments
- Sextant — a maths lab sextant with reflective mirrors and an arc, for measuring the angle of an object against the horizon.
- Clinometer Compass — measures the angle of elevation or depression of an object, for finding heights and distances; provided in a durable box.
- Vernier Theodolite — a German-pattern vernier theodolite for surveying, with an optical plummet and an aluminium tripod.
