Jlab Export is a leading Thermo Hygrograph Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Thermo Hygrograph (code EL-ELA-6407) is a mechanical recording instrument that draws a continuous chart of air temperature from −15 °C to +65 °C and relative humidity from 0 to 100%, driven by a wound clockwork with daily or weekly chart rotation. It is used for environmental control in laboratories, research and agricultural institutes, textile mills and meteorology. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is a Thermo-Hygrograph Used For?

A thermo-hygrograph keeps a written record of temperature and humidity over a day or a week, so conditions can be checked afterwards instead of only when someone happens to read a dial. Two pen arms trace temperature and humidity side by side on a paper chart carried round by the clockwork, giving a time record of both. It is used for environmental control in laboratories, research work, agricultural institutes and plants, other scientific work, textile mills and meteorology — anywhere samples, materials or crops are sensitive to heat and damp. Because the chart drive is clockwork, it keeps recording without mains power.

In schools and colleges the chart shows students how temperature and humidity change through the day and night — relative humidity usually falls as the air warms — which makes it a natural companion to wet-and-dry bulb hygrometers in meteorology and geography practicals.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Chart rotation — daily or weekly recording.
  • Recording pens — fibre tips or nibs.
  • Other weather instruments — hygrometers or a wooden weather station housing are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ranges does the thermo-hygrograph record?
Temperature from −15 °C to +65 °C and relative humidity from 0 to 100%.

Can it record over a day or a week?
Both. The chart rotation is changeable between daily and weekly recording.

What drives the chart?
A mechanical winding clockwork, so the recording drive does not depend on mains power.

Does it use pens or nibs?
Either: it is offered with German fibre tips or with nibs.

What is the housing made of?
Cast aluminium and chrome steel with a white finish, glazed with a transparent synthetic material.

How is it different from a digital hygrometer?
A digital hygrometer shows the present temperature and humidity; the thermo-hygrograph draws a continuous record of both over the chart period. JLab lists a Digital Hygrometer with Temperature separately.

What should an export enquiry include?
Quantity, chart rotation and pen type, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any tender reference.

Who manufactures the Thermo Hygrograph?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of laboratory, meteorological and teaching instruments, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The thermo-hygrograph is built in JLab’s own works, not sourced from a trader, so laboratories, institutes, schools, dealers and importers buy direct from the maker; each instrument is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Panama in Central America and the Caribbean, Libya in North Africa, Cameroon in Central Africa, Tajikistan in Central Asia and Mongolia in East Asia. Tender buyers can see the JLab lab tenders page.
