What the Vacuum Connection Does
The connection takes rubber or silicone vacuum tubing from a pump or water aspirator, so the assembly can be evacuated through the bend. A light film of joint grease helps the ground joints seal under reduced pressure and come apart easily afterwards. On the B19/B24 bend the socket accepts a B19 cone and the cone fits a B24 socket.
