What Is the Bunsen Burner with Stopcock Used For?
A Bunsen burner draws air in through the regulator, mixes it with the fuel gas inside the tube and burns the mixture at the top. With the air regulator open it gives the hot, blue, non-luminous flame used for heating test tubes, warming beakers on a tripod and gauze, and flame tests; with it closed the flame turns yellow, cooler and luminous.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of burners.
- Gas taps, tripods or wire gauzes — separate items for the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the stopcock on this burner do?
It controls the gas. Turning it adjusts or shuts the flow, so the flame can be lowered or put out at the burner rather than at the bench supply.
What should an export enquiry include?
The number of burners, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirement and a tender reference if one applies.
Who makes this burner?
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, makes it in Ambala, Haryana, and quotes for it as the manufacturer.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maker of science laboratory equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. Its Bunsen burners are made at JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers order factory-direct. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Lesotho in Southern Africa, Gabon in Central Africa, Tajikistan in Central Asia, Afghanistan in South Asia and El Salvador in Central America and the Caribbean.
