What Is the Cervical Pathological Model Used For?
Looking at the cervix is a core skill in gynaecology and in cervical cancer screening, and learners need to know what a normal cervix looks like before they can recognise change. The inserts let a tutor set a normal cervix beside common abnormalities: an ectropion, where the glandular lining of the cervical canal shows on the outer surface; a Nabothian cyst, a small mucus-filled cyst; a cervical polyp, a usually benign growth; and cervical carcinoma. Because the inserts vary in texture and colour, students can feel as well as see the difference.
The model is used in GNM and B.Sc nursing, midwifery, MBBS and obstetrics and gynaecology postgraduate teaching, and in training for health workers who examine the cervix in screening clinics. The inserts are interchangeable on the table-top base, and the set is kept in its carrying/storage case between sessions. It is a teaching model and is not used for diagnosis.

OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of anatomical and medical-training models and laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This cervix model is produced at JLab’s own works and is not traded in from another maker, so nursing schools, medical colleges, dealers and importers buy factory-direct; each model is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders go back to the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Taiwan in East Asia, Singapore in Southeast Asia, Togo in West Africa, Croatia in Southern Europe and Tonga in Oceania.
