What Is the Two-in-One Cassette Recorder Trainer Used For?
A “two-in-one” combines a medium-wave (MW) AM radio with a cassette recorder, so this trainer covers both halves of the set. On the radio side, students follow how the receiver selects and amplifies a station and recovers the audio. On the cassette side, they see how the playback head reads the magnetic pattern on the tape and the amplifier stages raise it to drive a speaker, and how, when recording, the audio signal drives the record head while an erase head clears the tape just ahead of it. The screen-printed top side shows the layout, and the printed circuit on the reverse lets students relate each block to the actual tracks.
Because the components sit on PCB tags rather than being buried in a cabinet, the instructor can remove or swap a part to create a fault and students can practise systematic fault finding with a multimeter or oscilloscope — a core skill in ITI and TVET electronics mechanic courses, polytechnic consumer-electronics labs and B.Sc. electronics practicals. The acrylic cover protects the board between sessions.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units; many labs plan one trainer per bench group.
- Accessories — ask JLab whether a power supply, speaker or cassette is supplied, as the listing does not say.
- Companion trainers — the MW radio circuits model or TV demonstrators can be added to the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
How are faults created?
The components are mounted on PCB tags, so the instructor can remove or replace a part to create a fault, and the same tags make worn parts easy to change.
How does it differ from the Demonstration Model for Experiments of MW Radio Circuits?
That model is a radio-only board with its components soldered along the circuit and important connections on terminals, covering the power supply, AGC, IF, oscillator, antenna and output sections. This kit adds the cassette player and tape recorder to the MW receiver study.
Is the trainer protected against dust and handling?
Yes, an acrylic cover is provided at the top to protect the instrument.
Who manufactures this trainer?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, builds it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, and supplies it factory-direct.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of electronics trainers and educational lab instruments in India, incorporated in 2017 and located on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The two-in-one trainer is built at JLab’s own works instead of being sourced from a trader, so vocational institutes, colleges, dealers and importers get it straight from the maker, each board is visually inspected before it ships, and spare parts and repeat orders come from the same works. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Afghanistan in South Asia, Ukraine in Eastern Europe, Guinea in West Africa, Chad in Central Africa and Singapore in Southeast Asia. The JLab lab tenders page has information for tender buyers.
