What Is the Diphtheria Model Used For?
Diphtheria is caused by toxin-producing strains of Corynebacterium diphtheriae and spreads mainly through droplets from coughs and sneezes. It usually begins with a sore throat and fever; a tough greyish membrane, the pseudomembrane, then forms over the tonsils and throat, and swollen neck glands can give a “bull neck” appearance. The membrane can block the airway, and the toxin can damage the heart and nerves. Vaccines containing diphtheria toxoid, given in childhood together with tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) components, prevent the disease, so the model fits naturally into immunisation teaching in nursing, paediatrics and community medicine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the grey membrane in diphtheria?
A layer of dead cells, fibrin and bacteria that forms on the tonsils and throat. It sticks firmly and may bleed if scraped, which helps teachers distinguish it from ordinary tonsillitis.
How is diphtheria prevented?
By vaccination with diphtheria toxoid, usually in a combined childhood vaccine with tetanus and pertussis components, followed by boosters.
What is the order minimum, and how long is dispatch?
At least 10 units, sold individually. Each model is visually inspected and normally dispatched in 7–10 working days; export delivery time depends on the destination.
Who manufactures the Diphtheria Model?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd), at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India, quoting directly as the maker.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab, the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, is a manufacturer of laboratory equipment and infectious-disease teaching models in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The model is made in JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so medical and nursing colleges, schools, dealers and importers purchase direct from the maker, and each piece is checked by eye before dispatch. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for instance Guatemala in Central America and the Caribbean, Thailand in Southeast Asia, Morocco in North Africa, Bahrain in the Middle East and Ireland in Western Europe. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
