Jlab Export is a leading Antibody Antigen Complex Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Antibody Antigen Complex Model (code EL-BE-6137) is an immunology teaching model of an antibody bound to its antigen — the lock-and-key complex behind neutralisation, agglutination and most immunological laboratory tests. It is intended for college immunology, microbiology and medical laboratory technology classes, and for class 12 students meeting antibodies for the first time. JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) makes it at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Antibody Antigen Complex Model Used For?
The model illustrates how the antigen-binding site at the tip of each antibody arm, the paratope, fits one small region of the antigen, the epitope or antigenic determinant. The bond is non-covalent — hydrogen bonds, ionic attractions, van der Waals forces and hydrophobic interactions — so it is specific yet reversible; the strength of one site is called affinity, the combined strength of several sites avidity. Because an antibody has at least two binding sites, it can link antigens into a lattice, which shows up as agglutination of cells or particles and as precipitation of soluble antigens. In the body such complexes neutralise toxins, mark microbes for phagocytes and start the classical complement pathway before being cleared in the spleen and liver; complexes that lodge in tissues can cause inflammation. In the laboratory the same reaction underlies ABO and Rh blood grouping, the Widal agglutination test, ELISA and gel immunodiffusion.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between an epitope and a paratope?
The epitope is the part of the antigen that is recognised; the paratope is the matching binding site on the antibody. The model is about how the two fit together.
Can the model be used to run blood-grouping or ELISA tests?
No. It explains the reaction those tests depend on; it contains no reagents and gives no results.
Who manufactures it?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana; JLab quotes directly.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology, microbiology and general lab teaching equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The model is produced in JLab’s own works and not bought from traders, so colleges, training institutes, dealers and importers buy from the factory and get repeat supplies from it too. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Zambia in East Africa, Australia in Oceania, Angola in Central Africa, Colombia in South America and Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia.
