What Is the Dissection Replacement Pad Used For?
Traditional dissecting trays have a wax base that has to be melted, poured and eventually replaced. This pad does the same job without wax: lay it in a pan or on the bench, place the specimen on it and carry out the dissection on its high-grip surface. Because it is reusable, one pad serves many classes, which makes it practical school biology lab equipment for labs that run dissection practicals every year, as well as for college zoology and botany teaching labs.
After each session, wash the pad, let it dry and store it flat so it keeps its shape. Labs that already own dissecting pans can keep a stock of replacement pads so a worn pad can be changed without buying a new pan.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size is the replacement pad?
26.5 x 16.5 cm (265 x 165 mm), with a thickness of 10 mm.
Do I still need wax?
No. The pad is made from a high-grip material that eliminates the need for wax, and it is reusable.
Which dissection pan does it fit?
The listing gives the pad size but does not name a pan. JLab’s dissection pans are listed in 10 x 7, 11.5 x 7.5 and 12.75 x 9 in sizes, so compare the pad with the inside of your pan or ask JLab to confirm before ordering.
What is the minimum order and dispatch lead time?
The minimum order is 10 pads. Orders are usually dispatched within 7–10 working days, and each pad is visually inspected first; export transit time depends on the destination.
Who manufactures this dissecting pad?
JLab — Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd — makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology and science lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The pad is made at JLab’s own works rather than bought in, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy it factory-direct, each pad is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders for spare pads are handled by the manufacturer. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Estonia in Northern Europe, Malaysia in Southeast Asia, Sudan in North Africa, Canada in North America and Congo in Central Africa.
