What Is the Brights Tangrams Class Pack Used For?
A tangram is a square cut into seven pieces: five triangles of three sizes, one square and one parallelogram. Rearranging those pieces into new outlines is a simple way to practise naming shapes, comparing them and composing larger figures from smaller ones. The pieces also invite comparisons of area — two small triangles cover the medium triangle, the square or the parallelogram — and many tangram figures can be built to be symmetrical about a line.
