What Are the Magnetic Rainbow Fraction Squares Used For?
Fractions and percentages are two ways of writing the same part of a whole, yet pupils often meet them as separate topics. With fractions on one side of each magnet and percentages on the other, a teacher can build a fraction on a magnetic board and turn the pieces over to show the matching percentage, so the link is seen rather than memorised. The bright magnets help students see maths visually and practise solving problems in a hands-on way, which suits upper-primary and middle-school lessons on fractions, percentages and their equivalence.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Number of sets — for example one per classroom or per maths lab board.
- Other fraction resources — the fraction squares set, magnetic fraction disk and other items linked below are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.
