How the Four Motors Differ
The 1 kW, 2 kW and 2.5 kW motors run at 1380/1390 rpm, a four-pole speed. The 5 kW motor is listed at 1440 or 2900 rpm, the four-pole and two-pole speeds, so state which one you need. The single-phase pair runs from a 220 V supply; the three-phase pair needs a three-phase supply and a suitable starter.
Practical Work With the Set
Students can wire starters, reverse a three-phase motor by swapping two supply lines, and compare current, power factor and energy drawn at different loads by the single-phase and three-phase machines.
