What Is the Labour Delivery Model Used For?
During labour, midwives assess two things on vaginal examination: how far the cervix has opened and thinned, and how far the baby’s head has come down into the pelvis. These findings are recorded on the partograph, and students often find the numbers abstract until they can see and feel them. This model turns each finding into a physical stage, so a tutor can line the parts up and show the cervix opening and thinning while the head moves down towards the ischial spines. It is used in midwifery and obstetric nursing practicals in ANM, GNM and B.Sc Nursing courses, in obstetrics teaching for medical students, and in refresher training for labour-room staff.
The model is for teaching and demonstration only and is not intended for clinical use.

- Destination and delivery terms — country, port or city, and FOB or CIF.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does fetal head station mean?
Station describes the level of the fetal head relative to the ischial spines of the mother’s pelvis. Station 0 means the head is level with the spines, and negative numbers mean it is still above them.
What is effacement of the cervical canal?
It is the shortening and thinning of the cervix during labour until the cervical canal disappears; the model shows the canal from not effaced through half effaced to fully effaced.
Is the model meant for clinical use?
No. It is a teaching and demonstration model for midwifery and obstetric training.
What should an export enquiry include?
The quantity, destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, and any packing, labelling or tender requirements.
Who manufactures the Labour Delivery Model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of midwifery, nursing and anatomical teaching models, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The labour model is produced in JLab’s own works, so nursing schools, medical colleges, hospitals, dealers and importers buy direct from the maker rather than through a trader. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Uzbekistan in Central Asia, Benin in West Africa, Gabon in Central Africa, Hong Kong in East Asia and Jamaica in Central America and the Caribbean. Tender buyers can see the JLab lab tenders page.
