What Is the Laser Distance Meter Used For?
A laser distance meter sends a beam to a wall, ceiling or object and works out the distance from the reflected light, so one person can measure a room without a second person holding the end of a tape. The built-in calculations turn those readings into floor areas and room volumes, and the Pythagoras function calculates a height or width that cannot be reached directly from two distances that can.
