Mecanum Wheeled Acrylic Robotic Kit

Product Code : EL-MLK-13573
Jlab Export is a leading Mecanum Wheeled Acrylic Robotic Kit Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Mecanum Wheeled Acrylic Robotic Kit (code EL-MLK-13573) is a programmable mobile robot whose four independently driven Mecanum wheels let it move forward, backward, sideways and diagonally and rotate on the spot. A front ultrasonic sensor supports obstacle detection, distance measurement and autonomous movement, making it a platform for robotics, coding and navigation lessons. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Mecanum Robot Kit Used For?

A Mecanum wheel carries a ring of free rollers set at an angle around its rim. Each wheel therefore pushes partly forwards and partly sideways, and by choosing the speed and direction of each of the four motors a program can add those pushes together to move the robot in any direction — including straight sideways — or to spin it within a compact area. Working this out in code gives students a practical feel for vectors, motor control and kinematics.

The front ultrasonic sensor measures distance by timing the echo of a sound pulse, so the same robot can be programmed to detect obstacles and move autonomously. The electronics are left visible for easier learning, and the platform is reusable for many projects in school robotics labs, STEM programmes, coding classes, engineering projects and science exhibitions.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the number of robots, for example one per coding team.
  • Other robot kits — tracked, wheeled or Bluetooth models to compare on the same quotation.
  • Delivery — your destination city or port and any packing or labelling requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Mecanum wheel?
A wheel with angled rollers around its rim. Combining the rotation of four such wheels lets a vehicle move sideways and diagonally as well as forwards and backwards, without turning first.

Which movements can this robot make?
Forward, reverse, sideways and diagonal motion, and clockwise and anticlockwise rotation within a compact area.

What does the ultrasonic sensor do?
It can be programmed for obstacle detection, distance measurement and autonomous movement.

How does it differ from the 4WD Beige Chassis Acrylic Robotic Kit?
Both use four geared DC motors and a front ultrasonic sensor. The 4WD kit runs on large black tyres with yellow hubs for forward, reverse and turning movements, while the Mecanum wheels on this kit add sideways and diagonal motion.

What should an export enquiry include?
The number of kits, the destination country and port or city, your delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), packing or labelling needs, and the tender reference if one applies.

Who manufactures this robot?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd), at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian maker of educational robotics kits and laboratory equipment, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This robot comes from JLab’s own works, not a trading company, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers deal directly with the manufacturer for first and repeat orders. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Tonga in Oceania, Mali in West Africa, Afghanistan in South Asia, Bahrain in the Middle East and the USA in North America. Tender details are on the JLab lab tenders page.
