What Is the Mechanical Stop Clock Used For?
A stop clock times an interval: the lever starts it at the beginning of an event and stops it at the end, and the elapsed time is read from the pointers. On a fly-back stop clock the fly-back lever sends the hands back to zero, ready for the next reading. In physics practicals it is used to time the oscillations of a simple pendulum, for example in the class 11 experiment relating length and time period, and in chemistry it times rate-of-reaction runs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does this stop clock measure?
It measures the amount of time between the start and the end of a task. The elapsed time is shown by the seconds pointer and the minutes pointer on the dial.
What is the fly-back lever for?
The fly-back lever returns the hands to zero after a reading, so the clock is ready for the next timing.
How does it differ from the Digital Stop Clock?
This clock is mechanical and is read from its dial. The Digital Stop Clock is quartz-controlled, runs on mains power and shows the time on a seven-segment display.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of stop clocks, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling needs, and the tender reference if one applies.
Who manufactures the Mechanical Stop Clock?
It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a laboratory instrument manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. These stop clocks are produced at JLab’s own works instead of being traded in, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy direct from the maker and repeat orders are handled by the same company. JLab holds Importer-Exporter Code 3317504552 and is registered as a manufacturing enterprise under MSME Udyam registration UDYAM-HR-01-0003849. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Samoa in Oceania, the Netherlands in Western Europe, Mexico in North America, the Dominican Republic in Central America and the Caribbean, and Nigeria in West Africa. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
