Mitosis Model

Product Code : EL-CE-6752
Jlab Export is a leading Mitosis Model Manufacturer, and suppliers in India

Mitosis Model (code EL-CE-6752) is a biology teaching model that illustrates somatic cell division, with enlarged views detailing five phases of mitosis. On each view students can trace the nucleus, nucleolus, chromatin threads, cytoplasm, centrioles, spindle, aster, chromosomes and centromere as one cell becomes two. It is used for cell cycle lessons in class 11 and in college biology. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

How Does It Compare with Other JLab Mitosis Models?

ModelWhat its listing describes
This model (EL-CE-6752)Enlarged views of five phases of somatic cell division, with nucleolus, chromatin threads, centrioles, spindle, aster, chromosomes and centromere
Mitosis Model (ten-model board)Ten models on a board covering division of the nucleus and then of the cytoplasm, from the non-dividing cell to two cells
Animal Mitosis ModelPhases of mitosis in an animal cell, with centrioles, centrosome, spindle and asters
Plant Mitosis ModelPhases of mitosis in a plant cell, as later seen in onion root-tip preparations

Choose this model for a compact overview of the main phases and the structures involved; the ten-model board suits teachers who want every step through cytokinesis, and the animal and plant models suit lessons that compare the two kinds of cell.

What Is the Mitosis Model Used For?

Somatic cells are the body cells, and they divide by mitosis to give two cells with the same number of chromosomes as the parent. The model lets a teacher walk the class through that sequence: the chromatin threads condense into chromosomes, each made of two chromatids held at the centromere; the nucleolus fades; the centrioles move apart and the spindle and asters form; the chromosomes line up and their chromatids are pulled to opposite poles; and two new nuclei form. It supports the class 11 chapter on the cell cycle and cell division and introductory college cell biology, and it prepares students to recognise the same stages in an onion root tip slide under the microscope. Dust the model with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight between lessons.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
  • Companion items — prepared mitosis slides or the mitosis poster, if students will compare the model with real cells.
  • Delivery details — destination country and port or city, and any tender reference.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many phases does the Mitosis Model show?
Five phases of mitosis, each as an enlarged view, so the changes in the nucleus and chromosomes are easy to see from the front of the class.

Which cell structures can students identify?
The nucleus, nucleolus, chromatin threads, cytoplasm, centrioles, spindle, aster, chromosomes and centromere.

Does it also show meiosis?
No. This model covers mitosis only; JLab lists a separate Meiosis Model for reduction division.

Who manufactures this mitosis model?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer

JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of biology models and science lab equipment in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. This model is produced in JLab’s own works, not sourced from a trader, so schools, dealers and importers deal directly with the manufacturer; each piece is visually inspected and repeat orders come from the same works. The company is registered under GSTIN 06AADCJ9848D1ZE and holds Legal Entity Identifier 549300DTGS77DGYD6N03. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Bangladesh in South Asia, Finland in Northern Europe, Austria in Western Europe, Madagascar in East Africa and Vietnam in Southeast Asia.
