What Are Bulb Pipettes Used For?
A one-mark bulb pipette delivers one exact volume — for example 10 ml or 25 ml of a solution into a conical flask before a titration. Because it is calibrated at a single volume, it is more accurate for that volume than a graduated pipette or measuring cylinder. It is the pipette students use in the class 11 and 12 volumetric analysis practicals, when finding the strength of an acid, alkali or oxidising agent, and it is standard in college analytical chemistry, food and water testing, and biology labs preparing dilutions.
