What Is a Circular Protractor Used For?
A circular protractor measures and draws angles all the way round a point. Reflex angles can therefore be read in one step instead of being worked out from a half-circle reading, and the sectors of a pie chart can be marked off around the centre without moving the protractor. Measuring and constructing angles is taught in school geometry from class 6 onwards, and the same tool serves maths lab activities on angles and circles and simple technical drawing.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Size — size 5 (12.50 cm), size 6 (15 cm), or a mix of both.
- Quantity — for example one per student for class sets.
- Other geometry items — set squares, rulers or compasses to quote on the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are these circular protractors made in?
Two: size 5, which is 12.50 cm, and size 6, which is 15 cm.
Why use a circular protractor rather than a semicircular one?
Because it covers the whole circle, angles larger than a straight angle and pie-chart sectors are read directly, with no subtraction from a half-circle reading.
How do these differ from the JLab Circular Protractor?
The Circular Protractor is sold as a set of 10 and has cut-out circles for drawing small circles. These plastic circular protractors are supplied individually in size 5 or size 6.
What should an export enquiry include?
The quantity in each size, the destination country and port or city, the delivery terms you prefer (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling instructions, and the tender reference if there is one.
Who manufactures these protractors?
JLab (Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd) produces them at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a maths lab equipment manufacturer in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. These protractors are produced in JLab’s own works rather than bought from a trader, so schools, dealers and importers order factory-direct and repeat batches come from the same maker. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Honduras in Central America and the Caribbean, Gabon in Central Africa, Japan in East Asia, Kuwait in the Middle East and Ireland in Western Europe. Tender information is on the JLab lab tenders page.
