One, Two or Three Outputs: The Versions
The dual-channel version has a 60 V, 1 A channel and an 8 V, 10 A channel, both with remote sense. Three-output versions share up to 195 W across their outputs. The single-channel dual-range version gives either 40 V at 5 A or 20 V at 10 A; both ranges come to 200 W, so taking the lower voltage range doubles the current on offer. Each comes as a standard version or as an advanced version that adds finer resolution and more monitoring, triggering, wave-tracking, timing and analysis functions.
Linear Regulation and Remote Sense
In a linear supply a pass transistor regulates the output continuously instead of switching, which is why ripple and noise stay low and the output recovers quickly after a step in load. Remote sense runs a separate pair of leads to the load, so the supply measures the voltage there and makes up for the drop along its output leads, which counts most at the 10 A settings. Over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection are standard, and every channel is controlled on its own.
