Rheostat Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-CL-13448
Jlab Export is a leading Rheostat Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Rheostat (code EL-CL-13448) is a 27 cm slide rheostat with a 0–100 Ω range and a 24 W rating, made of resistance wire wound on an insulated tube with a sliding contact on a brass rod. Moving the slider changes the length of wire in the circuit and so the current. Made by JLab in Ambala, Haryana, it is used for circuit analysis and resistance control.

How the Slider Controls Current
Current passes through the turns of wire between one end of the coil and the sliding contact. Moving the slider to lengthen that section adds resistance and lowers the current; with the slider at the far end the full coil length is in use, giving the maximum 100 Ω. For a fixed supply voltage I = V/R, so a lamp or meter in series with the rheostat dims or reads lower as the resistance rises. Keep the circuit within the 24 W rating.
