Triangular Prism Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-CL-13460
Jlab Export is a leading Triangular Prism Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Triangular Prism (code EL-CL-13460) is a 5 cm high, 3 cm wide optical prism with a triangular cross-section and three flat, polished rectangular faces, used to bend, refract and disperse light. Physics and optics classes use it to study refraction, deviation and the formation of a spectrum. JLab, working from Ambala in India, produces this prism.

How the Prism Splits White Light
Light slows down as it enters the prism and bends towards the normal, then bends again as it leaves through a second face, so the outgoing beam is turned away from its original path. The amount of bending depends on colour, so white light comes out spread into a spectrum: red is deviated least and violet most. The band is usually named as seven colours from red to violet.
Finding the Angle of Deviation
Aim a narrow beam at one face and watch the light leaving the other while turning the prism slowly. The emerging beam swings towards the incoming direction, stops, and then swings back; that turning point is the position of minimum deviation. Hold the prism by its triangular ends to keep finger marks off the polished faces.
