What Is the Ring of Theorems Used For?

Each circle theorem it covers is about straight lines joining points on a circle. The opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral — one whose four corners lie on a circle — add up to two right angles; any angle in a semicircle, standing on a diameter, is a right angle; and angles standing on the same chord in the same segment are equal. With the rubber bands, students can form many different chords, quadrilaterals and angles, compare the angles and see that each property holds every time, not just in one textbook diagram. These results belong to the circles chapter of CBSE and NCERT class 9 mathematics.

What to Specify When Ordering

  • Quantity — for example one for each group of students in the maths lab.
  • Other circle aids — the items linked below are separate and can be quoted on the same enquiry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which circle theorems can it show?
The opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral, the angle in a semicircle being a right angle, and equal angles in the same segment of a circle, along with other properties of the circle.

What comes with the Ring of Theorems?
Rubber bands and a reusable storage box.

How does it differ from the Magic Ring?
The Magic Ring is a plastic ring, 25 cm outer and 20 cm inner diameter, with 32 holes, placed on a drawing sheet or whiteboard to mark points on one circle. The Ring of Theorems covers the same theorems and is supplied with rubber bands and a storage box.

What information is needed for an export quotation?
Send the quantity, the destination country and port or city, your preferred delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), any packing or labelling requirements, and the tender reference if the order is for a tender.

Who manufactures the Ring of Theorems?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.

OEM Manufacturer
