What Is the Trauma Simulator Used For?
For first aid training, an instructor can set students to assess each of the burns, wounds and fractures on the simulator and then clean, disinfect and wrap it, controlling bleeding where the wound calls for it. Because most of the fractures are open, students also see how an open (compound) fracture differs from a closed one: the skin over the break is broken, so the injury needs wound care as well as fracture care. The simulator suits trauma and first-aid teaching in nursing schools, paramedical and emergency-care courses and medical colleges.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the number of simulators for your skills lab or training centre.
- Other teaching aids — nursing manikins, burn models and first-aid charts, such as those linked below, are separate items that can be quoted on the same enquiry.
- Tender details — the tender reference and any specification sheet, if the purchase is for a tender.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which burn depths does the simulator show?
First-, second- and third-degree burns, on the face and on the left forearm. First-degree burns affect only the outer skin, second-degree burns reach the dermis and blister, and third-degree burns destroy the full thickness of the skin, so students can compare all three.
Which penetrating wounds are modelled?
A gunshot wound in the right palm, a metal puncture wound in the right thigh and an abdominal wound with small-intestine evisceration, alongside the forehead laceration, the jaw wound and the contusion wounds on the chest, left ankle and foot.
How does it differ from the Nursing and Wound Care Manikin?
The Nursing and Wound Care Manikin is a general nursing manikin whose trauma care covers washing, disinfection, enswathing, haemostasis and bandaging, alongside procedures such as intubation, injections and catheterization. The Trauma Simulator is built around its set of trauma evaluation modules: burns, lacerations, penetrating wounds and open and closed fractures.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The number of simulators, the destination country and port or city, delivery terms such as FOB or CIF, any packing or labelling needs and the tender reference if one applies.
Who manufactures the Trauma Simulator?
Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, trading as JLab, makes it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, a manufacturer of anatomical models and nursing training simulators in India, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The trauma simulator is produced at JLab’s own works, not bought in from a trader, so nursing schools, colleges, dealers and importers deal directly with the maker; every simulator is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders are handled by the same team. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Sweden in Northern Europe, Turkmenistan in Central Asia, Zambia in East Africa, Slovakia in Eastern Europe and Botswana in Southern Africa. Institutions buying through a tender can find details on the JLab lab tenders page.
