What Is the Urinary Tract Calculi Model Used For?

Stones form when urine carries more dissolved minerals than it can hold, so crystals settle out and grow. Calcium oxalate stones are the most common; others are made of calcium phosphate, uric acid, struvite (linked with urinary infection) or cystine. Too little fluid, hot weather, a salty or high-animal-protein diet, family history and some metabolic disorders all raise the risk. A stone in the calyx or renal pelvis may cause no trouble, but one that moves into the ureter can block it, swelling the kidney above and causing renal colic: waves of severe pain spreading from the side toward the groin, often with blood in the urine.

The NCERT class 11 biology chapter on excretory products lists renal calculi among disorders of the excretory system, and the model helps students place stones along the route urine takes. Small stones often pass on their own, larger ones may be broken up by shock waves or removed through an endoscope, and plenty of water helps prevent them.

OEM Manufacturer

Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) manufactures laboratory equipment and biology teaching models in India; it was incorporated in 2017 and operates from Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The calculi model is made at JLab’s own works, not resold from a trader, so schools, colleges, dealers and importers buy direct from the manufacturer, and every piece is checked before it is packed. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — examples include Finland in Northern Europe, Senegal in West Africa, Algeria in North Africa, Tonga in Oceania and Congo in Central Africa.
