Advanced Conduction Unit Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India
Product Code : EL-ELA-5521
Jlab Export is a leading Advanced Conduction Unit Manufacturer, and suppliers in India
Advanced Conduction Unit (code EL-ELA-5521) is a bench-top apparatus used to determine the thermal conductivity of a metal test bar in physics and heat-transfer teaching labs. The bar is clamped between a heater and a Peltier cooler under an evacuated bell jar, which minimises heat loss by convection. It is made by Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd (JLab) at its works in Ambala, India.

What Is the Advanced Conduction Unit Used For?
Thermal conductivity describes how readily a material carries heat. By Fourier’s law, the heat flowing along a bar each second equals the conductivity multiplied by the cross-sectional area and the temperature gradient, so when the heater’s power passes through the bar, the conductivity follows from that power, the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends, and the bar’s length and cross-section. In simple open set-ups, heat escaping from the sides by convection spoils this balance; under the evacuated bell jar that loss is greatly reduced, so the heat flowing through the test bar stays close to the heater power. The unit fits thermal-physics and heat-transfer practicals in colleges, universities and technical institutes.
What to Specify When Ordering
- Quantity — the minimum order is 10 units.
- Mains supply — state the voltage and frequency used in your laboratory, as the heater, vacuum pump and displays run from it.
- Related heat-transfer apparatus — other items, such as the thermal conductivity of metal rod set-up, are separate products that can be quoted on the same enquiry.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the advanced conduction unit measure?
The thermal conductivity of a metal test bar. It is calculated from the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends of the bar and the heater power.
Why is the test bar under an evacuated bell jar?
To cut down convection. With the air removed, convection losses become small enough to neglect, so practically all of the heat has to flow through the test bar from the heater to the cooler.
What does the Peltier element do?
It acts as the cooler at the cold end of the bar. A Peltier element is a thermoelectric device that pumps heat from one face to the other when an electric current passes through it.
Is a separate vacuum pump needed?
No. The unit’s housing contains the vacuum pump as well as the digital displays.
What information is needed for an export quotation?
The quantity, the destination country and port or city, your delivery terms (for example FOB or CIF), your mains supply, any packing or labelling requirements, and the tender reference if there is one.
Who manufactures the advanced conduction unit?
JLab — Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd — manufactures it at its works in Ambala, Haryana, India.
OEM Manufacturer
JLab is the trading name of Jain Laboratory Instruments Pvt Ltd, an Indian manufacturer of physics, engineering and general laboratory apparatus, incorporated in 2017 and based on Hargolal Road, Ambala, Haryana. The advanced conduction unit is assembled in JLab’s own works instead of being bought from a trader, so universities, colleges, dealers and importers are dealing with the manufacturer itself; every unit is visually inspected before dispatch, and repeat orders and spares are handled in-house. JLab exports worldwide and ships to buyers in every region — for example Botswana in Southern Africa, Fiji in Oceania, Iraq in the Middle East, Austria in Western Europe and Tanzania in East Africa. See the JLab lab tenders page for tender enquiries.
